Becoming a Member

How to Become a Member

To apply for membership with FCCV, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Application Forms

    • Membership Application Form & Prefix Application Form can be found here.

  2. Complete the Required Training (if applicable)

    • The Responsible Pet Ownership Course and Breeder Training Course must be completed prior on joining.

    • The link to the online course is available under 'Education' section.

  3. Provide Supporting Documents

    • Resignation letter from another cat association (if currently a member).

    • Certificate(s) of course completion.

  4. Pay the Membership Fee

    • Payment details and fees are listed in the Forms tab.

      • Financial Year: 1st July - 30 June

      • Half Year: 1st January - 30 April

      • If you join after 1 May or before 30 June, you will pay full year membership fee but your membership will be extended to the next financial year.

  5. Submit Your Application

    • Applications can be sent via 

      • email to secretary@fccv.com.au or 

      • by post or drop off to our office at Fac 3, 4 Dempster Street Ferntree Gully VIC 3156.

Membership Responsibilities

By becoming a member, you agree to:

  • Follow the association’s rules, bylaws and code of practice.

  • Comply with association policies, such as the Social Media Policy and Anti-Bullying and Harassment Policy.

  • Adhere to decisions made by the Committee of Management.

  • Follow government regulations related to cat ownership and breeding.
