MISSION STATEMENT

Found in 1962

​Promote in every way the welfare of cats, the general improvement of feline standards, breeding and exhibition of cats, and good sportsmanship among its members.

  1. One of the feline registration councils in Victoria with a strong membership.

  2. Victorian Member Body of the Co-Ordinating Cat Council Of Australia.

  3. Maintains a comprehensive database to track details, pedigrees and microchip records of all cats and kittens registered with the Association.

  4. Nine (9) operating committee members in the Committee of Management focusing on breed standards, genetics, heritable defects, breeding protocols, finances, rules and by-laws, judges' & stewards' training, and compliance for the Animal Welfare Victoria as an Applicable Organisation.

  5. Recognised standards for forty-five (45) breeds of pedigreed cats.

  6. Four (4) affiliated clubs and Breed Societies.

  7. Run friendly and welcoming cat shows.

  8. Conducts informative sessions to educate members on their responsibilities under the Code of Conduct and any new rules or regulations.
